cool decor, loud music

the hotel location offers easy access to the train station and soho. i liked the dimming option included with the lighting. themed rooms were fun. the bed was comfortable. it met my needs and was great for my vocation.
i was given a room in front of a venue. loud bass music played until 0130. the butler agreed that outside noise was unacceptable. the plumbing was noisy too. i did not sleep that night.

i found the sound system very excellent. it really enhanced the atmosphere of my stay. the restaurant, thirteen, served some of the best sushi i have ever tasted (the freshness was amazing!). the location was also quite convenient.
i found the policy of charging for a whole bottle once it is opened at the bar a bit much. i also found it was not entirely clear what does and does not cost extra in the room. the additional costs detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay.

Reasonable stay near Covent Garden

funky styleconvenient locationfunky furnishingsmissing kettlelacking basicsopaque service charge
The location proved convenient with Covent Garden and Soho nearby. Walking to various places in the West End was easy. The hotel had a funky style. I stayed in a One-Bedroom Townhouse Apartment across from the main building. (I loved the unique furnishings!).
I found some basics lacking. Tea bags were provided without a kettle or milk. The arrangement with the butler fell short of expectations. I thought the 5% service charge lacked transparency.

The location provided convenient access. Tottenham Court Road tube station was very close. The suite featured state-of-the-art Wi-Fi equipment, a detail I found quite helpful. There was also a small, charming kitchenette complete with a wine cellar and an ice machine.
I noticed sewer smells in the room at night. It was a bit unpleasant

adequate stay, some issues

helpful staffcomfortable roomlighting controldodgy stairslacking serviceoverpriced drinks
the staff were friendly and helpful when showing me to my room i also received directions to nearby restaurants and bars the room itself was modern i found it smart and comfortable it had all the necessary facilities i needed for my short stay the bed was especially comfortable. i appreciated the control panels for the lighting in the room they were easy to use and allowed me to adjust the ambiance i liked the touch of having a bathrobe and slippers available. i had access to a butler though i didn't use this service i was aware it was available if needed i found this reassuring.
i was told about a 5% service charge at check-in i am unsure what this was for since the service was lacking i left my bags and upon my return i was taken to my room it was on the top floor the stairs were very dodgy i had to be careful. there was no ice in the room i messaged through the app but i never received any after over an hour i had warm gin that was charged for at full bottle price. the bar for food and drinks was understaffed service was slow and the cocktails were poor the sushi was good but the drinks and overall service remained disappointing.
